User Interface Designer
Are you a talented Web/UI Designer who combinesstrong visual design with a genuine understanding of user experience?
We're working with a growing digital marketing business looking for a design-led Web/UI Designer to take ownership of websites and landing pages across a varied client base.
For this role,
design ability comes first , but that means more than simply making a website look good. We're looking for someone who can combine strong visual design with
UX thinking , considering how users navigate, interact with and experience a website alongside layout, typography, hierarchy and overall creative direction.
What you'll be doing
Designing modern, visually engaging websites and landing pages.
Taking projects from initial brief and wireframe through to final design and build.
Turning client requirements into considered designs that balance
brand, visual impact and user experience .
Thinking through user journeys, navigation, content hierarchy and usability as part of the design process.
Creating responsive experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile.
Working closely with marketing and account teams to understand client requirements.
Building and updating websites.
Continually improving the design, usability and performance of existing sites.
Managing multiple client projects and taking ownership from concept through to launch.
What we're looking for
Strong commercial experience in
website, digital or UI design .
A portfolio demonstrating websites you've personally designed and the
thinking behind your design decisions .
Strong visual design skills across layout, spacing, typography, hierarchy and responsive design.
A good understanding of
UX principles, user journeys and usability .
Experience with
Figma, Webflow, Framer or similar tools .
Confidence taking a project from a brief or wireframe and developing the visual direction yourself.
A good understanding of how websites are built and work.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience working across multiple projects or clients would be advantageous.
HTML/CSS or wider technical knowledge would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
Framer experience is NOT essential.
If you're a strong Web/UI Designer with good Figma, Webflow or similar experience, the business is happy to train you on Framer and other technical elements of the role.
What's on offer
£30,000–£40,000 depending on experience and portfolio.
You’ll join a growing business where you’ll have genuine ownership of your work, plenty of creative freedom and the opportunity to develop your technical skills alongside an experienced team.
If you’re a Web/UI Designer who cares about
both how a website looks and how it works for the user , we’d love to see your work.
