Full-Stack Software Engineer – Climate Tech Startup
Role description
Overview
Full-Stack Software Engineer – Climate Tech Startup
Climax is on a mission to make the carbon impact of organisations visible and manageable. We help companies decarbonise faster with a platform that turns raw data into carbon footprints, actionable reduction strategies, and investor-grade disclosures. Our lean team ships fast, and we’re already trusted by leading private equity firms and mid-sized companies across Europe. We’ve built an AI-powered carbon accounting platform designed for speed, scalability, and accuracy. We’re now looking to grow the team with someone who thrives on building great software — and wants to help accelerate the net-zero transition.
Role Description
We’re hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help us move even faster. You’ll work across the stack — from database to UI to external APIs — and ship features from idea to production. You’ll be trusted to own real parts of the product, talk to users, and help shape the roadmap. We’re a small, senior team. That means minimal infra, no red tape, and big autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Own and ship full-stack features from end to end
- Connect to external APIs, design intuitive UIs, and manage performant data flows
- Contribute to product decisions, design reviews, and technical architecture
- Collaborate with a small team of engineers and carbon experts
- Improve our platform to help users reduce emissions at scale
Qualifications
- Strong product sense and curiosity for real-world impact
- Experience across the stack — backend, frontend, APIs, data modelling and PostgreSQL
- You care about shipping, not overengineering
- Clear communicator, async-first thinker
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles is a plus
- Bonus: experience in climate tech, B2B SaaS, or working with carbon/ESG data
