Senior Buyer

Role description

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to support sustainable procurement solutions within complex offshore energy projects. This role focuses on managing procurement activities, supplier relationships, and delivery processes for high-impact projects such as offshore wind transformer stations, floating wind platforms, infrastructure, and oil & gas developments.

You will play a key role in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement while contributing to the acceleration of the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of materials and services for complex technical and offshore projects.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers globally.
• Monitor planning, delivery timelines, and ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Identify supply chain risks early and propose alternative solutions.
• Contribute to cost control, quality assurance, and procurement optimization.
• Support and improve procurement processes and strategies.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams.
• Participate in supplier negotiations, including commercial terms and conditions.
• Ensure procurement activities meet project goals and performance targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in offshore, energy, or technical industries.
• Experience in contract management, supply planning, cost control, and quality assurance.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to manage complex delivery processes and supplier networks.
• Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a strong advantage).
