Role description
Southeast College in Estevan is hiring a Powerline Technician Program Instructor. This full-time role involves educating students through both theoretical and practical training methodologies.In this instructional position, you will teach all levels of the Powerline Technician Apprenticeship, emphasizing safety protocols and the technical knowledge required in the field. Regular assessments will help track student progress and ensure educational efficacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver instruction for Levels 1 through 4 of powerline training
• Monitor and evaluate students' academic progress
• Teach critical topics like bonding, grounding, and line design
• Act as a subject matter expert for curriculum updates
• Demonstrate physical training aspects effectively
Requirements:
• Certified Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Powerline Technician
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on technician experience
• Leadership or teaching experience is preferred
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
