Senior Engineer Structural Dynamics & Fatigue
Role description
At IQIP, you’ll engineer solutions that shape the future of offshore and onshore installation—from concept and certification to on-site delivery.
Als uw vaardigheden, ervaring en kwalificaties overeenkomen met die in dit functieoverzicht, stel uw sollicitatie dan niet uit.
We work on large-scale, complex offshore and marine projects where innovation meets real-world impact.
Our mix of engineering innovation and field deployment is rare and exciting.
Who wouldn't like to see their designs being realised?
You’ll be involved in the full project cycle, collaborating closely with production and project teams to deliver smart, sustainable solutions in challenging environments.
Design. Build. Innovate. Make an impact.
As a Senior Engineer – Structural Dynamics & Fatigue, you play a key technical role in standardised offshore engineering assignments.
You take ownership of focused, standard engineering work packages , often acting as the technical lead without being accountable for full project delivery.
Your responsibilities include analysing and optimising the structural and fatigue behaviour of offshore tools such as the Hydrohammer®, PULSE®, and other installation equipment.
Using your expertise in fatigue and fracture as well as dynamic analyses, you will develop simulation models, perform finite element calculations, and provide clear engineering recommendations.
You will work independently within a multidisciplinary team, guiding technical direction for specific engineering content, without managing people or coordinating across multiple teams.

Your responsibilities
- Act as technical lead for standard engineering packages
- Perform and review fatigue and dynamic analyses on steel offshore equipment using ANSYS
- Translate real-world loads (impact, vibration, fatigue) into simulation models
- Apply fatigue and fracture understanding to optimise design and extend equipment life
- Work independently on single-topic tasks with defined scope and boundaries
- Support design and validation efforts through FEM, analytical models, and data interpretation
- Ensure technical quality by applying internal standards and guidelines
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of modelling approaches and methods
our profile
- Master's degree Mechanical, Offshore or Structural Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience in fatigue, dynamics, and simulation (industry or research)
