Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Weekend Only, Light Volume
Provide weekend call coverage within an established cardiothoracic surgery program featuring manageable case volume and recurring coverage opportunities throughout the year.

Practice & Cases
Inpatient adult cardiothoracic surgery setting
Full scope cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery coverage
Mix of operative cases and consultative call responsibilities
Includes open-heart surgery, pacemaker procedures, and cardiovascular surgical care
Schedule
1-2 weekends per month
Typical coverage runs from Friday evening through Monday morning
Additional holiday and vacation coverage opportunities available
Call coverage limited to assigned weekends
Requirements
Must be an MD or DO
Active Iowa license required or open to Interstate Medical Licensure Compact physicians
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
Logistics
Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are covered
Travel arrangements coordinated before each assignment
