Rapid Response (RN)

Role description

As a Rapid Response Registered Nurse at MedStar Health, you will provide expert, on-demand clinical support for acutely deteriorating patients across our inpatient units. You will respond to rapid response calls, perform urgent assessments, initiate stabilization measures, and collaborate with physicians, ICU teams, and bedside nurses to prevent cardiac arrests and unplanned ICU transfers. In this role, you will use advanced clinical skills in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and emergency interventions while documenting care in the EMR. You will also coach and educate unit staff on early warning signs, escalation criteria, and best practices in patient safety.
