Workshop Controller
Role description
OverviewWorkshop Controller - Swindon. A multi-franchise approved commercial vehicle dealership in Swindon is seeking a Workshop Controller to lead the day-to-day function of the workshops. You will plan, control and deliver on overall workshop performance, reporting to the Aftersales Manager.
Responsibilities
Monitor and control the use of all workshop resources (HGV Technicians, space and equipment) to maximise quality, efficiency and profitability.
Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of the workshop.
Collaborate with the service department team (workshop reception, foreman, stores) to maintain high staff morale, timely customer care, workshop efficiency and productivity.
Monitor, resolve and report health and safety issues in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
Proven track record in successfully controlling/managing an automotive workshop. Experience in a commercial vehicle workshop is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented, results-driven, with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience working toward targets and IT literate.
UK driving license with minimal points.

Hours:
Monday to Friday 6:00am-4:00pm with a ½ hour unpaid lunch break. Additionally, 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00am-12:00pm.
