Role description

As an IT consulting firm, we work with our clients to understand their needs, identify the right technologies, and deliver solutions that improve performance and support their business objectives.
Today, EVOCS is a trusted technology partner to a growing number of organizations and industry leaders. Our team combines technical expertise, business understanding, and a commitment to quality to deliver effective solutions and build lasting client relationships based on responsiveness, consistency, and results.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Workday Program Manager
to lead a multi-track Workday implementation currently underway. IT resourcing is solid and a bench of independent subject-matter consultants is already engaged, but the program needs a dedicated business-side leader to own the plan, keep every workstream sequenced, and translate formal program management practice. This is a hands-on, get-it-done role rather than a purely strategic one.
What you will do
In this role, you will:
Lead the Workday Program Strategy:
Own and manage the overall Workday program roadmap, including the work plan, project sequencing, resource planning, and delivery timeline across all active workstreams and future initiatives.
Develop and maintain the program work breakdown structure, ensuring cross-functional dependencies are clearly defined and effectively managed.
Drive a phased implementation strategy, prioritizing domestic deployments while planning for future international expansion and country-specific requirements.
Drive Cross-Functional Program Execution:
Coordinate consultants, internal teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure all workstreams remain aligned and progressing toward program goals.
Serve as the hands-on Program Manager, balancing structured program management practices with the organization's current level of operational maturity.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) to leverage existing governance frameworks, templates, and delivery standards.
Manage Risks and Program Governance:
Proactively identify program risks, dependencies, and organizational roadblocks, escalating issues appropriately to executive sponsors and business leadership.
Monitor overall program health, timelines, and milestones while providing regular status updates to program sponsors and key stakeholders.
Coordinate systems integrator (SI) remobilization and oversee vendor engagement throughout the program lifecycle.
Enable Organizational Success:
Translate established project management best practices into practical execution plans that align with the organization's capabilities and evolving needs.
Partner with business leaders to navigate organizational complexity, including decentralized teams, evolving job architecture, and Workday capability gaps.
Ensure teams remain focused, aligned, and accountable while enabling successful delivery across all program workstreams.
What you will bring
The top candidate will have the following skills:
Proven experience program-managing a Workday implementation
(HCM required; Payroll, Financials, or other modules a plus), ideally across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Comfort building and maintaining roadmaps, work breakdown structures, and cross-track dependency maps from scratch.
Strong vendor and SI management experience, including remobilizing paused engagements.
Ability to operate at the maturity level of the organization — pragmatic, adaptable, and focused on progress over process for its own sake.
Experience navigating multi-country or multi-entity rollouts, including awareness of international labor requirements, is a plus.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills; comfortable escalating organizational risk without personally trying to resolve it.
Ideally you have…
PMP, Workday certification, or equivalent program management credential
