Do you want to prove your technical strengths in a high‑end environment working with the best‑in‑class inspection equipment on a global level? Join us as Technical Support Engineer within our OMRON Inspection Systems Division (ISD), based in ’s‑Hertogenbosch.
ISD sells and supports state‑of‑the‑art 3D optical and X‑ray inspection systems (SPI, AOI, AXI systems). These machines are used in the electronic manufacturing industry, mainly in automotive, medical, and other quality‑driven industries.
As a team member of ISD, you will be working in a dynamic and international team, supporting many top‑level customers located anywhere in Europe and the Middle East. You are in close contact with customers, distributors, and other engineers to give the best support possible. Support activities include pre‑sales and after‑sales such as presenting and demonstrating our solutions with the sales team, installation and maintenance of machines, training, troubleshooting, and help desk support.
Your responsibilities
- Visit customers before, during, or after the purchase of the inspection systems
- Demonstrate inspection systems and train customers and distributors on how to use them
- Perform calibrations, capability studies, and upgrades
- Investigate and implement potential improvements in optical inspection machines
- Troubleshoot issues with the optical inspection systems
- Assist with and participate in the development and introduction of new inspection systems
Who are you?
- You have a relevant technical degree; experience with AXI systems is a plus
- You are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
- You are a team player but also able to work independently and prioritize
- You are willing to travel (mostly inside Europe) and therefore hold a class B driving licence
- You demonstrate strong intercultural awareness
- You have advanced IT skills (Microsoft Operating Systems / Drivers / Hardware / Software / IT and Network Administrative knowledge) – a plus
- Knowledge of PLC programming and software development is a plus
