Building Location: Essentia Health - Miller Hill Health Plaza Department: PEDS SPEECH THERAPY - MHC Job Description: Evaluates, plans, treats and implements care for patients in the areas of speech, language, cognition and swallowing in accordance with professional standards of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Essentia Health’s policies and procedures. Please note that this position will be split between the Polinsky Clinic at the Miller Hill Mall & Superior. This position will be split between Polinksy & Superior.
Key Responsibilities: 60;
- Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload. 60;
- Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties 60;
- Demonstrate 60; appropriate communication , 60; professionalism 60; and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, 60; aides , volunteers) 60;
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure 60; optimal 60; clinical and financial outcomes. 60;
- Work closely with Essentia Health leadership and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care. 60;

- Meet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practice 60;
- Work where the patient 60; need 60; is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allows 60;
- May serve as a clinical instructor, 60; participate 60; in 60; department 60; or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would 60; benefit 60; patient care 60;
Outpatient Pediatrics: 60;
- Provide 60; high quality 60; care to contracted partners, including schools, daycare centers, and residential care facilities. 60;
- Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive patient care, including involvement in clinics, co‑treatments, and individual therapy sessions. 60;
- Provide pediatric feeding interventions 60;
- Evaluate and assess the need for AAC devices and 60; assist 60; patients and families in securing AAC devices 60; 60;
Hours of operation are 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. 2 days in Superior, 3 days at Polinsky is anticipated.
Licensure/Certification 60;Qualifications:Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice 60;
