A leading technology consultancy is seeking a

Software Engineer

to join a growing engineering function delivering secure, scalable services for major public-sector and enterprise programmes. This is a hands-on development role suited to someone with strong Java fundamentals and a desire to build high-quality software in a highly regulated environment.
What youll be doing:
Designing and developing Java services using

JDK 11+

and

Spring Boot
Building modular, maintainable microservices aligned to enterprise and security standards
Working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as

GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube
Collaborating with cloud and infrastructure teams to deploy into secure cloud environments
Applying software engineering best practices (TDD/BDD, branching strategy, code quality)
Contributing to agile ceremonies and working closely with technical leads and testers
Key Skills & Experience
Essential:
2+ years' experience as a Java Developer (5+ f
Strong Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot development skills
Exposure to microservices, modern APIs, and cloud-based delivery
Understanding of secure engineering principles and modern DevOps practices
Ability to operate in agile, collaborative engineering teams
Must be SC Clearable

(minimum 5 years continuous UK residency)
Experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms
Exposure to containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
