Senior System Engineer

Role description

The Position

As part of our growing team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join us and contribute to exciting, high-impact client projects in advanced optical systems and multidisciplinary high-tech environments.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, your main tasks will include:

• Leading the development and realization of complex optical and high-tech systems
• Defining, managing, and validating system requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Acting as the technical lead and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Taking ownership of technical project deliverables and successful system integration
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical risks
• Driving verification, validation, and systems engineering activities
• Contributing to technology roadmaps and future innovation initiatives
• Supporting business development activities by identifying new technical opportunities

Your Profile

• Master’s degree (WO) in Applied Physics, Engineering, Optics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in complex multidisciplinary environments
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering methodologies and lifecycle management
• Experience with requirements management, risk management, verification, and validation processes
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of technical experts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
• Experience within optics, photonics, aerospace, semiconductor, scientific instrumentation, or other high-tech industries is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive attitude with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
