Senior Project Manager
Role description
Required Certifications: PMP, Application Migration preferable
Project Duration: 6 Months, 40+ hour/week
Scope of Work: Senior Project Management role, maintaining project schedule and driving team tasks toward successful outcomes
Position Summary
Lead large-scale, complex IT service delivery and infrastructure projects, ensuring successful execution of scope, budget, timelines, and customer expectations. Serve as a senior PMO leader, mentor junior project managers, and coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and depot operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex IT deployment and service delivery projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and status reports.
- Serve as the primary customer and stakeholder contact.
- Manage scope, budget, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate engineering, depot, logistics, and third-party teams.
- Oversee hardware deployment, staging, imaging, logistics, warehouse, and lifecycle services.
- Mentor junior project managers and coordinators.
- Drive PMO process improvements and governance.
- Support pre-sales activities with project planning and implementation strategies.
- Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets and executive communications.
Qualifications
- 10–12+ years of IT project management experience.
- Experience with infrastructure deployments, professional services, logistics, asset management, and device lifecycle programs.
- International customer and vendor management experience.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Project experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience creating SOWs, change orders, and executive presentations.
Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a VAR, managed services, or technology integration environment.
- Experience leading nationwide deployment or migration programs.
- Experience using Azure Dev Ops to write and manage user stories.
- Knowledge of Azure.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
