Senior Project Manager

Role description

Required Certifications: PMP, Application Migration preferable

Project Duration: 6 Months, 40+ hour/week

Scope of Work: Senior Project Management role, maintaining project schedule and driving team tasks toward successful outcomes

Position Summary

Lead large-scale, complex IT service delivery and infrastructure projects, ensuring successful execution of scope, budget, timelines, and customer expectations. Serve as a senior PMO leader, mentor junior project managers, and coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and depot operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead complex IT deployment and service delivery projects from initiation through completion.
2. Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and status reports.
3. Serve as the primary customer and stakeholder contact.
4. Manage scope, budget, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
5. Coordinate engineering, depot, logistics, and third-party teams.
6. Oversee hardware deployment, staging, imaging, logistics, warehouse, and lifecycle services.
7. Mentor junior project managers and coordinators.
8. Drive PMO process improvements and governance.
9. Support pre-sales activities with project planning and implementation strategies.
10. Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets and executive communications.

Qualifications

1. 10–12+ years of IT project management experience.
2. Experience with infrastructure deployments, professional services, logistics, asset management, and device lifecycle programs.
3. International customer and vendor management experience.
4. Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and customer-facing skills.
5. Advanced Microsoft Project experience.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
7. Experience creating SOWs, change orders, and executive presentations.

Certification

1. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in a VAR, managed services, or technology integration environment.
2. Experience leading nationwide deployment or migration programs.
3. Experience using Azure Dev Ops to write and manage user stories.
4. Knowledge of Azure.
5. Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
