We launched in 2016 as a marketplace for fonts with a subscription service. In the last 8 years, we have been through tremendous growth, and we're just getting started! We have scaled to 50 million+ monthly page vi ews, 8 million+ registrations, over 22 million listed produc ts, and 22000+ active designers.

Our focus is to create a platform for designers that enables them to offer exceptional high-quality content. We make their products searchable in unique ways. This allows our customers to speed up their workflow, allowing them to focus on what they love most: Creating.

About the Senior Data Engineer Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team at Creative Fabrica. Data is a big deal here—it's at the core of how we grow, make decisions, and deliver amazing experiences to our users. We’re building the next-gen data platform that will support real-time analytics, personalized features, and help us make smarter, data-driven choices.

As part of the team, you’ll help design and roll out new modules for our data platform—think event management, real-time analytics, discoverability, and making sure our data quality stays top-notch. You’ll have a say in choosing the right tools for our needs and work closely with analysts and machine learning engineers to make sure they get the data they need, when they need it and in the way they envisioned it. What you will do as a Senior Data Engineer:

Develop key modules for the data platform, including event management, segmentation and personalisation systems, data quality monitoring, observability tools, and data discoverability features.
Build reliable, scalable data pipelines with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, freshness, and performance. Ensure data is timely and meets the SLAs defined with business.
Build integrations with our product platforms, third-party services, and external data sources to streamline data ingestion and facilitate reverse ETL workflows.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, analytics, and machine learning engineers, to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that empower them to perform at their best.
Contribute to the long-term vision and architecture of the data stack, focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability to support the growing needs of the business.

What you will need:

Experience building cloud-based data platforms (preferably on AWS), with the ability to manage high data volume and velocity.
Hands-on experience using industry standards such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Presto or similar big data tools.
Strong system design skills, with a proven track record of making sound engineering decisions.
Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java and/or SQL, with experience using dbt for data transformation and modelling.
Experience with Kafka or other distributed event processing
systemsUser-centric mindset in developing data platforms, with empathy for stakeholders and a genuine curiosity about their use cases.
Strong communication skills, and ability to explain both the tech you build and the value you deliver to anyone in the company.
Continuous learning mindset, always staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering.

Nice to have:

Experience with data quality monitoring frameworks (e.g. Great Expectations, Soda, Montecarlo).
Experience with real time analytics.
Experience with Infra as a code (e.g. Terraform)
