You will work with global database engineering pods to define Kubernetes-native deployment standards, mentor database engineers, and represent Postgres platform requirements in executive planning and vendor negotiations.You will:- Architect and lead PostgreSQL platform strategy across Dell's global fleet - HA design, disaster recovery, security hardening, and performance baselines for thousands of instances- Design and implement Postgres-on-Kubernetes at scale using operators (CloudNativePG/Patroni), storage architecture, multi-region failover, and observability integration- Build agentic/autonomous tooling for self-healing failover, automated VACUUM/analyze scheduling, and predictive capacity alerts using LLM-augmented logic- Author Infrastructure-as-Code modules (Ansible)- Mentor engineers through weekly architecture reviews and represent Postgres require14 years of IT infrastructure or platform engineering experience, or 7+ years with exceptional depth demonstrated through production scale, open-source contributions, or published work- 6+ years of production PostgreSQL at scale - partitioning, logical replication, connection pooling (PgBouncer), WAL tuning, Patroni, pgBackRest- 3+ years of Kubernetes for stateful workloads — operators, persistent storage design, backup/restore in K8s, multi-cluster patterns- 3+ years b
