Payroll Expert

Role description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Compliance Expert with strong knowledge of employment tax and payroll legislation across the Netherlands and wider Benelux region.

This is a senior position, offering the opportunity to shape compliance frameworks, lead audits, and act as a trusted authority across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex payroll and employment compliance audits across the Netherlands
• Design and implement scalable governance frameworks and best practices.
• Support compliance investigations and embed learnings into new processes.
• Align payroll and employment compliance policies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Mentor and coach payroll specialists and leads to strengthen team capability.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed compliance into global processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive knowledge of payroll, employment, and tax compliance across the Netherlands
• Proven experience leading audits, regulatory reviews, or cross-border compliance programs.
• Recognised as a subject matter expert in high-risk and strategic compliance matters.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including at senior level.
• A track record of coaching and mentoring colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively across multicultural, remote-first teams.
