About the Role
We're looking for experienced Software Engineers to join a specialist cyber team delivering high-assurance software for complex security challenges. You'll work on cutting-edge projects across a range of platforms and technologies, developing solutions that have a real-world operational impact.
Whether you already work within cyber security or are looking to transition into the field, you'll receive dedicated training, mentorship and ongoing professional development to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and maintain secure, high-quality software.
Deliver technical solutions using appropriate development methodologies.
Build security into system design, implementation and testing.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Review code, mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
Produce well-documented, maintainable software following industry best practice.
Embrace emerging technologies while understanding associated security risks.
Identify vulnerabilities during development and implement appropriate mitigations.
Skills & Experience
We're interested in candidates with experience in many of the following:
Strong software development experience.
Proficiency in at least one compiled language such as:
C++
Java
C#
Experience with scripting or utility languages such as:
Python
JavaScript
PowerShell
Perl
Familiarity with:
Source control
IDEs and debugging tools
Unit testing
Continuous Integration
Test-Driven Development
Understanding of secure software engineering principles.
Knowledge of computing fundamentals such as memory management and operating systems.
Ability to work across multiple operating systems.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience leading technical tasks or mentoring others is desirable.
