ANG SIGNAL is looking for a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the federal government in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will provide network engineering and support of the enterprise network to support the mission of our federal client, and will have hands-on experience with cloud migrations, network security, and cyber security. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation and a passion for secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions.
This is a hybrid position that will require 1-2 days a week on site in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities
Support the LAN and WAN infrastructure, remote sites and data centers
Work with the team on network integration and migration efforts
Execute end-to-end physical site deployments, including hardware racking, stacking, and structured cabling
Configure and manage Remote Access and S2S VPNs, firewalls and load balancers
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
Participate in lab configuration and testing of new technologies
Prepare network topology diagrams, write Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance plans and provide status reports as required
Participate in data calls and other operational and maintenance tasks
Qualifications
6+ years experience in a Network Engineering role
Cisco and Aruba Routers and Switches hands-on experience
Configure, tune, and manage dynamic routing protocols (specifically BGP and OSPF) to ensure high availability and optimal traffic flow
Ability to communicate designs and network concepts to a variety of audiences, including peers and customers, verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to interpret network topology diagrams, rack elevations, and wiring schematics.
Aruba wireless and Clearpass experience is preferred
Experience configuring and running Cisco Firepower, experience with Fortinet is a plus
Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol/technologies
General understanding of project management processes and terminology
Ability to multitask and set priorities
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
