Overview Of The Role

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Millwright, for an existing opportunity within our organization. You'll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and trouble shooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Wednesday to Friday and every 4th Saturday. 6:30pm-6:30am.

Salary: $47.96/hour. Evening, night and weekend premiums available. Hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays are compensated at one‑and‑one‑half times the regular hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations
• Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required
• Repair parts in shop
• Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
• Follow company policies and safety standards
• Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager

Qualifications

• Millwright licence
• Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Food industry or high speed packaging experience
• Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
• Welding experience is an asset
• Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.
• Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience is an asset
• Electrical experience is an asset
• PLC training and experience is an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• High level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position.
• Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
• Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
