Central New Brunswick Woodlands is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Log Loader Operator) for our Woodlands Operations.

Responsibilities
- Operate a log loader to safely load, unload, stack, and organize logs in harvesting yards.
- Feed logs as required to meet daily production targets.
- Conduct thorough daily equipment inspections and complete pre-operational checklists.
- Perform general equipment maintenance such as greasing, cleaning, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with yard staff, truck drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth flow of log inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with JDI safety and environmental standards.
- Follow all company policies, including lock-out procedures, equipment protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with other production tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of heavy equipment operation experience; experience with log loaders is an asset.
- Valid equipment operator certification (or willingness to obtain through JDI training programs).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Proven commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
