Summary:

Endovascular neurosurgeon needed at a high-volume stroke center for - 1 2 weekends a month
Availability

: about 10 days per month. Coverage scheduled in 2‚¬€œ3 predictable blocks of 3‚¬€œ4 consecutive days
CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The locum physician will provide comprehensive inpatient care for urgent and emergent cerebrovascular disease, including:
Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
Ruptured and complex intracranial aneurysms
Subarachnoid hemorrhage
Intracranial hemorrhage requiring neuroendovascular intervention
Cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs)
Dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVFs)
Carotid and intracranial occlusive disease
Other urgent cerebrovascular conditions requiring open or endovascular management

Responsibilities include:

Emergency Department and inpatient consultations
Interpretation of advanced cerebrovascular imaging
Diagnostic cerebral angiography when clinically indicated
Mechanical thrombectomy
Endovascular aneurysm treatment
Other neuroendovascular procedures
Open vascular neurosurgical procedures when appropriate
Peri-procedural inpatient management
Coverage is limited exclusively to vascular neurosurgical patients
