Lead Frontend Developer
Role description
Overview
Dyflexis The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands
We build HR tech for non-desk workers. Managers who lead teams in hotels, retail, and logistics trust us to make their jobs easier. We are 100+ people across the globe with 45 engineers, launching new products to become the global standard. We need a Lead Frontend Developer to help build a team of 12 engineers and ship new products as we scale across Europe and enter the US. This is more than a lead role, it’s your chance to shape the frontend foundation for our next chapter. The decisions you make in the next 6-12 months will shape how we scale.
Location: The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands.
Compensation: up to €8,000 per month; hybrid work (2 days a week at our HQ); bootstrapped, profitable, reinvesting heavily in products and people.
Notes: No VC pressure, no corporate noise. Autonomy, impact, and a culture where we win together.
What you’ll do
As Lead Frontend Developer, you'll define our frontend strategy, hire, guide and enable 6 engineers that make our platform the new industry standard. You’ll work directly with our Product Designers, Engineering Manager, and CEO to improve the experience of workforce management software at scale. You’ll operate in a focused, non-scrum environment and have time to prep, ship, refine, and plan for what’s next. You will code, fix problems before they become tickets, resolve architectural issues before they become technical debt, and build systems that don’t require band aids. You’ll have autonomy to make impactful decisions, access to needed resources, and direct influence over why, what, and how we code. There is no bureaucracy or approval chains here.
Responsibilities
- Define the frontend architecture and technical standards for multi-market deployment
- Coach, hire and grow a team of 12 frontend developers, including code reviews and driving adoption of best practices
- Guide the implementation of engagement tools, e-learning systems, and top-notch integrations
- Make technology decisions that balance current needs with scalability
- Partner with Product and Design to deliver the features that users need most
The tech stack
Vue.js 3, Ionic, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD, React, modern tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments. Plus whatever tooling you introduce.
How you maximize your impact
You have 7+ years building production frontend applications and have led teams through complex technical challenges. You know Vue.js 3 intimately. You’ve made architectural decisions that scaled, hired engineers who thrived, and shipped code users trusted. You care about quality code and value team wins over individual heroics. You thrive with ownership, build from the ground up, and address problems before they escalate. You spot patterns before they become anti-patterns.
What you get
You'll earn up to €8,000 per month, work hybrid (2 days/week at our HQ), and join a bootstrapped company that's profitable and reinvesting aggressively in its products and people. No VC pressure, no corporate bloat, no bureaucratic quagmire. You'll work on systems serving renowned brands, leveraging a modern stack in a post-scrum environment that values focus. And you’ll do it in a culture where we win together, have each other’s backs, and celebrate successes as a team.
