Please note: This is an on-site position and requires relocation to the Englefeld/Humboldt area or a nearby community.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Laser Operator fabricates raw materials and components for Schulte products while meeting quality, safety, and production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate laser equipment
- Complete First Part Inspection procedures
- Read and interpret shop drawings
- Meet production schedules and deadlines
- Move and organize raw materials
- Conduct safety inspections of forklifts, hoists, and machinery
- Perform minor maintenance on laser equipment
- Operate forklifts safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow quality and safety procedures
- Complete work orders and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer and math skills
- Experience using hand, impact, and air tools
- Forklift, WHMIS, and overhead crane training are assets
