Role description
Become a vital part of e-STORAGE as a Hardware Engineer in Kitchener, ON. Leverage your skills to enhance energy storage technology and support the renewable energy transition.As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing high-reliability electronic hardware, including schematics and PCB layouts for inverters and battery systems. Working within a cross-functional team, you will ensure that our designs meet both performance and regulatory standards while impacting large-scale energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and document schematic designs for various hardware components
• Design multilayer PCBs focusing on power and signal integrity
• Select and validate components for reliability and cost
• Collaborate on prototype testing and debugging
• Support product lifecycle activities and design reviews
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• 5+ years of practical experience in hardware design
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., UL)
• Expertise in PCB CAD software, especially Altium Designer
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
