junior mechatronics engineer
Role description
Are you looking for a next step in your career and to develop your personal and engineering skills in the high-tech industry? Then we are looking for you!
About Demcon
Demcon management & support is a developer and producer of technology and innovative products that contribute to solutions for technical and social problems.
What are you going to do?
As a junior Mechatronics Engineer at Demcon, you will work on projects for high-tech clients, for example in the semiconductor industry. You will often work with micrometer precision, so attention to detail is important.
In multidisciplinary teams, you will develop new concepts with colleagues from a blank sheet to a working prototype. You will be assisted by and work with experienced colleagues.
You start by analyzing the established specifications. In the subsequent concept phase, you contribute to the concept design by performing calculations, analyses, and tests.
You create proof-of-principles or prototypes of your designs, test them, and use the test results to improve your designs. You select sensors, actuators and other components. You set up the control system, and coordinate with other disciplines, such as mechanics, electronics, and software, to integrate your subsystem with the other subsystems.
You then work out the detailed design, create documentation, and participate in the realization and verification phase. In all these activities, consultation within your project team is important to achieve a good result.
What do you bring to the table?
- You have obtained a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science;
- You have an affinity with topics such as sensors, actuators and control engineering;
- You have a proactive attitude and experience with working in teams;
- Knowledge of programming (e.g., Mathan or Python) is a plus.
What do we offer you?
At Demcon, you’ll be working on technology that makes a real difference. In a relaxed organisation that encourages initiative and fosters a positive working relationship with motivated colleagues, you’ll help build solutions for both today and tomorrow. We genuinely care about you as a person and encourage job satisfaction and a healthy work-life balance.
You can also count on the following, amongst other things:
- 8% holiday pay, with the option to have this paid out in May or monthly with your salary;
- 25 days’ holiday and 6 ATV days based on full-time employment;
- Option to purchase additional days;
