Role description

Java Software Engineer – High‑Tech Systems

Alten Nederland is looking for an experienced Java Engineers to join our multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum development teams to prepare ground for upcoming projects. Our teams take full ownership of the development lifecycle: from requirements analysis and architecture to implementation, testing, validation, and product demonstrations.

• Designing and implementing new features in Java
• Collaborating with system engineers, architects, and testers
• Ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability
• Contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines (CI/CD)
• Participating in design sessions, reviews, and demonstrations

The software environment is modern, high‑tech, and built primarily in Java and C++ , often running on Linux‑based platforms.

Your profile

• Wants to contribute to a safer and more secure society
• Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field
• Has strong affinity and talent related to testing and/or QA
• Has at least 3 years of recent, relevant experience in Java development
• Is available to work on‑site at least 3 days per week
