Infrastructure Engineer

Role description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, building and operating modern on-premise and hybrid infrastructure platforms.

In this role, you will work hands-on across physical infrastructure, operating systems, storage, networking and Kubernetes orchestration. You will play a key role in building and maintaining the foundation that enables reliable, automated and production-grade platforms for higher-level services and workloads.

This position is focused on infrastructure engineering close to the datacenter, combining deep technical expertise with automation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

• Design, build and operate on-premise and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
• Deploy, configure and maintain bare-metal servers and virtualized environments.
• Build and operate production Kubernetes platforms.
• Perform Kubernetes day-2 operations, including upgrades, troubleshooting, networking and storage management.
• Maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure supporting business-critical workloads.
• Work across Linux operating systems, server hardware, virtualization, networking and storage technologies.
• Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
• Develop and maintain provisioning and operational automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and operational runbooks.
• Contribute to improving platform reliability, scalability and operational processes.
• Support security hardening and compliance requirements.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate has:

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
• Proven experience working in on-premise/datacenter environments.
• Extensive experience operating Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes day-2 operations, including:
• Networking
• Storage
• Troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of:
• Server hardware
• Virtualization technologies
• Storage technologies
• Experience operating production-critical infrastructure.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible or similar.
• Ability to design and implement automated infrastructure provisioning and operational processes.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.

Nice-to-Have Experience

The following experience is considered a strong advantage:

• Experience with GPU platforms, AI infrastructure or HPC environments.
• Experience with distributed storage or software-defined storage solutions.
• Knowledge of security hardening practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience building infrastructure platforms for high-performance workloads.
