General Labourer

Role description

Seaside Paper is looking to hire a General Labourer to work our 12-hour shift. The GL is responsible for bundling products, packing products into cases, and putting cases onto a skid, as well as maintaining a clean work area.

Shift

• Two week training: Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm.
• The 12-hour shift starts work at 6:30 am and works until 6:30 pm - No Graveyards, no overnight.
• Must be able to work alternate weekends (one-weekend work, the next weekend is the 3-day-off weekend).
• This is a full-time permanent position.

Skills And Requirements

• Legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application. No sponsorships are available.
• Lifting is required. Repeatedly lift 25-30 pound boxes.
• Lifting from the ground to waist level and back, as well as occasionally above waist level.
• Must be able to safely lift heavy boxes at a steady pace.
• Good attention to detail.
• Works well cooperatively with others.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods.
• Reasonable English speaking and comprehension.
• CSA-approved steel-toed boots are required.
• Own transportation is recommended as Transit does not come reliably to our location.

Compensation

• $18 - $18.50 per hour depending on experience.
