Role Overview
Servomex is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support customers across the Netherlands and the wider Benelux region. In this autonomous role, you will service, repair, and commission Servomex systems, ensuring reliable performance and a consistently high customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and commission all Servomex products to ensure high equipment performance.
- Carry out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) on systems.
- Support service quotation activities and contribute to identifying and developing service‑related business opportunities.
- Provide technical assistance for sales enquiries and advise customers on Servomex service and maintenance contracts.
- Complete all service, repair, and commissioning reports, along with any other required technical or quality documentation, accurately and on time.
- Ensure Servomex equipment complies with relevant health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding customer requirements, technical issues, and equipment performance.
- Support the Systems Engineering team with system build and testing activities to ensure systems meet required performance and specifications prior to shipment.
- Travel regularly throughout the Netherlands, with flexibility to travel across the wider Benelux region as required.
Qualifications
- Full Dutch language proficiency and strong English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Full authorization to work in the Netherlands on a permanent basis.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a closely related role, with hands‑on responsibility for repairing, installing, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems.
- Strong background in electronics and instrumentation.
- Experience delivering customer training at various technical levels.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Industrial Gases, Semiconductor, or similar industries is advantageous.
- Practical experience with start‑up, commissioning, FAT, and SAT activities.
- Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, and motivated to manage your own workload effectively.
- VCA–VOL certification already achieved, or willingness to obtain this qualification.
- A technical degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline would be an advantage.
