Role description
Employer: Kluane Drilling Ltd.
Position: Driller Assistant
Locations of Work: Whitehorse, Yukon Territory
Experience and skills :
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a drill helper.
- Physically fit for physically demanding work: able to lift at least 50 lbs., for 12-hour shifts.
- Able to work in remote camps for up to 28 days, following with 1 week off.
- Honest and reliable with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
Security and Safety : Drug test- Zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
Certification Requirement:
- Current and valid Standard First Aid with CPR.
- WHMIS Certificate valid.
- A valid driver's license (at least 2 years of experience driving) with a clean driving record.
Wage and Benefits:
- $28/hr, plus overtime, and footage bonus
- High season wage rate $31/hr, plus overtime and footage bonuses (June to September ).
- No retention bonuses.
