Datacenter Project Manager

Role description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Data Center Project Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of IT and network infrastructure projects, from planning through operational handover. This role involves driving the safe execution of all activities, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and acting as the primary stakeholder manager across various internal and external teams.

Job Description:

• Own the end-to-end delivery of IT and network infrastructure projects from planning through operational handover.
• Drive safe execution of all activities, ensuring compliance with Microsoft safety, security, and operational standards.
• Act as the primary stakeholder manager across Operations, Networking, Engineering Groups, landlords, vendors, and construction partners.
• Manage deployment schedules, risks, dependencies, budgets, and project milestones to achieve on-time delivery.
• Lead escalations and issue resolution while maintaining accountability for project outcomes.
• Ensure operational readiness and successful handover of new infrastructure into production environments.
• Manage network capacity planning, including space, power, cooling, and network resource reservations.
• Own cross-connect lifecycle management, carrier coordination, and connectivity readiness activities.
• Maintain accurate datacenter planning data within Facility Planner and associated operational systems.
• Coordinate IT power maintenance activities to protect customer workloads and maintain SLA compliance.
• Identify and mitigate operational, technical, and landlord-related risks before they impact service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and improving processes, procedures, and tooling.
• Ensure audit readiness, documentation accuracy, and compliance with Microsoft governance requirements.
• Demonstrate strong technical understanding of datacenter networking, critical infrastructure dependencies, and deployment methodologies .
• Build trusted relationships with customers and internal partners while influencing outcomes without direct authority.
