Data & Machine Learning Architect – Newcastle – Up to £80,000 – S/C ClearableWe’re hiring an experienced Data & Machine Learning Architect to lead the design of modern, scalable data and AI platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys setting technical direction, shaping strategy, and guiding teams to deliver intelligent, enterprise‑grade solutions.What you’ll have the opportunity to do as a Data & ML ArchitectDefining and owning data and machine learning architecture across complex programmesDesigning scalable cloud‑based data platforms and AI solutions that align to business goalsProviding technical leadership across data engineering, ML and analytics deliveryEstablishing architectural standards around data modelling, governance, quality and securityWorking closely with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into technical roadmapsMentoring engineers and architects while promoting best practice and innovationAbout the CandidateStrong experience in data architecture, ML architecture or advanced data engineering rolesDeep understanding of cloud platforms and modern data architecturesProven ability to design and govern large‑scale data and AI solutionsExperience with CI/CD, MLOps and infrastructure‑as‑code approachesConfident communicator able to work with both technical and non‑technical audiencesEligible for SC clearance (5+ years continuous UK residency)What’s in it for you?Salary from £65,000 to £80,000Hybrid working based in Newcastle25 Days holiday per annumExtensive benefits packageContinuous training provided for career progressionTo hear more about the Data & Machine Learning Architect role contact Daire McIlhatton at daire.mcilhatton@ansonmccade.com
