Job Title: Data Architect (AWS / Databricks) - Insurance DomainLocation: London, UK (Hybrid)Experience: 12+ YearsRole SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms using AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB. In this role, you will drive cloud data strategies and data modernization initiatives for major players in the UK Insurance and Financial Services sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute enterprise data architecture and cloud data strategies.Design scalable Lakehouse architectures utilizing AWS and Databricks.Develop robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models.Lead data modernization and cloud migration projects.Establish best-in-class frameworks for data governance, security, lineage, and quality.Collaborate effectively with business leaders, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders.Mentor data engineers and technical project teams.Required Skills & Domain ExpertiseMandatory Technical Skills: Extensive background in Data Architecture, AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB.Industry Experience (Must Have): Deep understanding of UK Speciality Insurance and Reinsurance.Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with FCA & PRA Regulations, and Solvency II Reporting.Data Modeling: Proven experience with specific Insurance Data Models and reporting structures.No terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate against any of the protected characteristics that fall under the Equality Act 2010.
