A leading UK organisation operating at the forefront of national security and geospatial intelligence is seeking a Data Architect to help design and deliver secure, high-impact data solutions. This is a hands-on role shaping data capability that directly supports critical decision-making in complex, high-stakes environments.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing end-to-end data architectures that support secure, mission-critical environments

Translating complex requirements into scalable, tailored data solutions

Developing and embedding data strategy, governance, and best practice frameworks

Leading delivery across modern data platforms and cloud-based technologies

Building proof-of-concept solutions and supporting innovation across data capability

Working closely with stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and impact

Supporting the development of reusable frameworks, tools, and managed service offerings

Applying secure-by-design principles in highly regulated environments

Main Skills Needed

Strong background in data architecture, including modelling, integration, transformation, and migration

Experience with data governance, metadata, and master data management

Proven ability to support analytics environments and AI-enabled solutions

Strong data quality experience, including KPI definition and automated validation approaches

Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS and/or Azure) such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, ADF, Synapse or equivalent

Ability to operate in highly secure environments (active DV clearance required)

Confident communicator with experience engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
