Our
Core Development Program
is a rotational experience designed specifically for students graduating in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 (BS, MS, or PhD) who are looking to build a strong foundation in software engineering. The program offers opportunities in front-end, back-end and/or full stack development across our product teams. You’ll contribute to real codebases and collaborate cross-functionally gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies.
Program Highlights:
3-week onboarding and training:
Learn core technologies, tools, platforms, and best practices.
Two 6-week team rotations:
Complete two 6-week software development projects with different InterSystems product teams (HealthShare, IntelliCare, Data Platforms, Financial Services).
Mentorship and support:
Work closely with experienced engineers for guidance and career development.
Team placement:
After successful completion of the program, participants who have met InterSystems’ expectations during their rotations will transition to their long-term role with a team based on interest, fit, and business needs.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Background
Graduating in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM field.
Technical Skills
Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, C#).
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
AI Competencies
Familiarity with AI/agentic tools and their applicability to software development.
Professional Attributes
Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and domains.
Initiative shown through personal, academic, or team projects.

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.
Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

The estimated base compensation range for this role is:
$100,000—$125,000 USD
