Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer - Onshore Wind

Summary: Join an exciting renewable energy project in the Netherlands as a Senior Civil Engineer. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in onshore wind and a strong background in design and delivery of wind farm infrastructure. You'll play a key role in shaping sustainable energy solutions across major projects.

Location: Netherlands - On-site. Applicants must have the right to work in Europe. UK citizens with appropriate work eligibility will be considered.

Our client is a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector, delivering innovative and sustainable onshore wind projects throughout Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for onshore wind farm projects from feasibility to construction.
• Oversee the design of access roads, wind turbine foundations, crane hardstands, substations, and site drainage systems.
• Review ground investigation reports and integrate geotechnical findings into design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical and environmental specialists.
• Support construction through inspections, managing design changes, and reviewing contractor submissions.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and civil engineering deliverables.

Must-have Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership.
• 10+ years experience in civil engineering with strong expertise in onshore wind projects.
• Proven experience in design and delivery of wind farm infrastructure.
• Eligibility to work in Europe.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Knowledge of planning applications and environmental compliance.
