My client is currently looking for a Project Automation Engineer to join their Project Engineering team in South Holland, near Zoetermeer, Netherlands. The client is an equipment manufacturing company specialising in the Marine/Shipbuilding industry, focusing on monitoring and control systems for vessels. They are growing and expect increased work over the next 12 months, so they need extra engineers to support the team.
You will work on project management from kick off to delivery, as well as technical engineering, automation/PLC programming and testing. They are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the marine or shipbuilding industry, covering PLC programming and development, with knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering.
START : October, November, December 2025
LOCATION : South Holland, Zoetermeer region, Netherlands
Responsibilities
- Lead automation projects from kick off to delivery within the Project Engineering team
- PLC programming and development (Siemens, SCADA, etc.)
- Electrical and instrumentation engineering support
- Collaborate with marine/shipbuilding engineering teams
Qualifications
- Automation Engineer with 5+ years\' experience
- Bachelor\'s Degree in software engineering or similar
- PLC programming and development background (Siemens, SCADA, etc.)
- Background in marine, shipbuilding or machine building industries
- Electrical or instrumentation knowledge beneficial
