About the Role:
The Learning Experience #648 in Middleburg, FL is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Director to help lead our preschool center to new heights! In this role, you'll work alongside our Director to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young learners can thrive. Responsibilities:
Support the Center Director in daily operations of a licensed preschool and childcare facility
Supervise, mentor, and develop classroom teachers and support staff
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards
Assist with enrollment, family engagement, and parent communication
Help maintain curriculum quality and implementation of early childhood education programs
Manage staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and administrative tasks
Step in as acting Director in the absence of the Center Director
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
Prior leadership or supervisory experience in early childhood education
Knowledge of Florida childcare licensing regulations and DCF requirements
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Warm, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for child development
