.NET Engineer
Role description
We're working with a Utrecht-based SaaS company building the platform that hotels, restaurants and hospitality groups use to run their day-to-day operations - from front-desk and reservations to guest communication and back-office reporting. Their product is used by hospitality businesses across Europe to save time, reduce manual work, and deliver a better guest experience. They're a growing, product-led team that cares as much about clean code as we do about the people who use what we build.
As a .NET Software Engineer, you'll join the product engineering team to design, build, and maintain the core services behind the platform. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship features that hospitality staff rely on every single day - often in fast-paced, guest-facing environments where reliability really matters.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build backend services and APIs using C# / .NET
- Collaborate on architecture decisions as the platform scales
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and review your teammates' work
- Work in an agile team with short feedback loops from idea to production
- Help troubleshoot and improve performance, reliability, and security
- Contribute to technical decisions on our roadmap, not just execute on it
Your Profile
- Solid experience building applications with C# and .NET (.NET 6/7/8, ASP.NET Core)
- Comfortable working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, and ideally some exposure to microservices or cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- A pragmatic, product-minded engineer who enjoys understanding why a feature matters, not just how to build it
- Good communication skills — you'll work directly with product and design, not just other engineers
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required
