Full Stack Application Engineer

Role description

Enza Zaden, an international family-owned company founded in 1938, is seeking a Full Stack Application Engineer to design, build, enhance and maintain modern business applications that help our global teams work smarter and more efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative solutions that adhere to Enza Zaden UI/UX, security and quality standards using low-code, pro-code, AI-assisted development, and cloud-native technologies.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver direct business value through pragmatic, user-friendly digital solutions.
• Collaborate with technical domain experts responsible for defining and building platform foundations and standards.
• Support the user community by creating reusable components, agents, templates and guidelines to ensure consistency, security and scalability across platforms.
• Contribute to the design and execution of our enterprise-wide low-code and AI-assisted development strategy, aligned with our broader IT architecture.
• Maintain, secure, enhance and monitor the performance of existing applications and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing, developing and deploying business applications in a professional environment.
• Hands-on experience with application development, workflow automation, data models and user interfaces.
• Familiarity with low-code, pro-code, AI-assisted development and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with integration methods such as REST APIs, Logic Apps and SQL.
• Knowledge of governance, solution architecture and application lifecycle management is a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and understanding of DevOps practices and tooling such as automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking, clear communication skills and ability to thrive in global cross-functional teamwork.

• Gross base salary between 3,984 € and 5,500 € per month, based on a full-time schedule of 38 hours and aligned with knowledge and experience.
