CAM Programmer Machining
Role description
If you want to contribute to driving positive change and would like to shape the future of technology in a dynamic, international environment, we invite you to join our Engineering team.
About the role
You will be assigned to a number of prototypes for which you bear full responsibility throughout the product's lifecycle. The products vary significantly in terms of machining processes, materials, complexity, precision, and machine types. As a CAM Machining Programmer, you will create the program using Siemens NX CAD/CAM software. After creating the program, you will verify it on the latest 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines from Datron, Hermle & Makino, or one of the Star Longturners Star-SW20 & Star-ST20, which are fully prepared for your work in collaboration with technicians. Subsequently, you will check the quality of the final product using your written CMM measurement program on a Zeiss Accura, Prismo, or O-inspect. Once the process runs smoothly and the products are within specifications, you will release the product for series production and start working on your next prototype. Series production will then be taken over by technicians. When you start working in the Machining department, you will determine together with your career counselor which position suits you best. This could be as a Work Preparation Engineer (WPE) or Manufacturing Engineer (ME). As a WPE, you focus primarily on programming and verifying new programs, while as an ME you are closely involved in new product introductions (NPIs) and the development of new machining tactics, as well as the optimization of ongoing production.
