C++ Developer
An opportunity for an experienced C++ developer to join a leading financial institution in the Netherlands. You will join an experienced Scrum team focused on Identity & Access Management, helping strengthen and accelerate a major digital transformation. Your focus will be on translating business and customer needs into secure, high-quality technical solutions while supporting the transition of critical infrastructure to a new platform.
The role is suitable for an individual who is comfortable working in a complex, business-critical environment and enjoys tackling security, infrastructure and modernisation challenges. You will contribute to the redevelopment of custom-built applications, improve secure connectivity between systems and help reduce critical technical issues while working closely with experienced engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and improve business-critical C/C++ applications.
- Support the technical migration of infrastructure to a new platform.
- Refactor and modernise existing replication services.
- Implement secure connections between systems and applications.
- Apply secure coding standards and help eliminate critical security issues.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into reliable solutions.
- Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience developing and implementing C/C++ applications.
- Solid knowledge of secure coding principles and practices.
- Experience with CI/CD development and delivery.
- Experience developing SOAP and REST services.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Comfortable working in demanding, business-critical environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to give and receive constructive feedback within a mature Agile team.
- Software architecture or solution design experience is a plus.
