Role Summary Provides advanced system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and systems under general direction, while leading backend optimization, data integration, and delivery of secure, scalable solutions supporting enterprise physical security platforms (e.g., access control, video management, identity integrations) across global locations. Responsibilities Provides senior-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and systems. Integrates third-party products. Translates technical specifications into solution delivery for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports product delivery. Leads backend system optimization efforts, ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsiveness under varying workloads. Spearhead the integration of multiple data sources, APIs, and services, streamlining data flow and improving overall system efficiency. Oversee the creation and upkeep of detailed backend documentation, ensuring cross-functional teams understand system architecture and design logic. Advocate and implement best practices for security, data protection, and backend resilience, aligning with enterprise-grade standards. Elevates systems into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents. Thoroughly understands client business functions and technology needs. Has a broad understanding of Vanguard's technologies, tools, and applications, including those that interface with business area and systems. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 5 years related work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Expertise in server-side deployment, system integration, cloud exposure (Azure/AWS) and API management; strong knowledge of database design, optimization, debugging, and performance tuning. Experience troubleshooting across applications, operating systems, databases, and network infrastructure. Experience working within large enterprises or global technology environments. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Confluence and Jira; aptitude for continuous process improvement for process flows/workflows. Relevant certifications or experience in supporting physical security technology systems (i.e. CCure, Genetec, Enterprise-Level VMS & Archiving, Envoy) is preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Special Factors Sponsorship Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
