Quantitative Developer
Role description
We're partnering with a leading global quantitative investment firm to find an experienced Quantitative Developer (C++) to join a world-class High-Frequency Trading team in Amsterdam.
This is an opportunity to work on ultra-low-latency trading systems operating at global scale, collaborating with exceptional software, FPGA, hardware, and infrastructure engineers to build technology where every nanosecond matters.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and optimize high-performance C++ systems for trading, market data, and infrastructure
- Profile and tune applications across CPU, cache, and memory layers
- Work closely with FPGA engineers to optimize hardware/software interactions
- Improve latency, throughput, and overall system performance
- Contribute to the design of next-generation HFT infrastructure
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of professional experience developing performance-critical applications in modern C++ (C++17 or newer)
- Strong systems programming skills and understanding of memory management and CPU architecture
- Deep knowledge of Linux internals, kernel tuning, and low-level performance profiling
- Strong interest in hardware, networking, and performance optimization
- Experience building low-latency or high-performance distributed systems is highly valued
