Space Product Assurance Engineer – ALTEN
The Position
As part of our growing team, we are looking for a talented Space Product Assurance Engineer to join us and contribute to innovative and high-impact projects within the aerospace and space industry. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, reliability, and compliance throughout the development and qualification lifecycle of complex systems.
As a Space Product Assurance Engineer, your main tasks will include:
- Performing and reviewing Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA)
- Supporting product assurance activities throughout the system development lifecycle
- Generating and maintaining quality and safety documentation
- Supporting equipment qualification and quality review processes
- Coordinating and contributing to process validation activities, including manufacturing and assembly processes
- Supporting Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV) activities
- Ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations
- Collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to identify and mitigate risks
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- Experience in Product Assurance , Quality Assurance , or Reliability Engineering within the space, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of FMECA and risk analysis methodologies
- Experience with qualification, verification, and validation activities
- Familiarity with manufacturing and process validation activities
- Understanding of Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV) processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proactive and quality-driven mindset
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
