Salary: €6,000‑€7,200 gross per month (38 hours)

What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Nedap Tech Platform team. As part of a collaborative group spread across Europe and North America, you will modernize and maintain a diverse infrastructure that includes physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud-based environments. Our infrastructure features container platforms, databases, observability stacks, and storage systems. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will focus on automating legacy systems, improving infrastructure, and supporting the services that drive Nedap’s innovative products.

Responsibilities
- Manage physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud environments, while driving modernization efforts for legacy systems.
- Build and optimize container platforms, databases, observability stacks, and storage systems to ensure scalability and performance.
- Streamline workflows with automation to improve system reliability and minimize manual intervention.
- Work with application teams to deliver scalable, high‑performing managed services.
- Configure monitoring and alerting systems to ensure uptime and system health.
- Promote best practices and innovation to align infrastructure with business goals, fostering collaboration across teams.
Team
The Nedap Tech Platform focuses on unburdening and supporting development teams within the Nedap business units with all aspects of the software development process such as tooling, frameworks, deployment and insights. We believe that combining the different disciplines in software development leads to more effective collaboration and better propositions. We do this by offering expertise with issues such as architecture, compliance or quality but also with building an application platform.

Our offer
As a Site Reliability Engineer at Nedap, you will contribute to our goal of making people happier and more successful in their professional lives. The salary range is €6,000‑€7,200 gross per month (38 hours). A company car is optional. Required skills
We’re looking for a candidate with 5‑8 years of experience in similar roles, who can connect, adapt, and stay organized. The role includes on‑call duties; effective planning and time management are critical. Occasional datacenter visits for maintenance or hardware upgrades may be required.
Technical skills we’re looking for
- On‑premise & Cloud: Experience with cloud and on‑premise environments, database management (e.g., MySQL, Elasticsearch) and a basic understanding of software development. Experience with Proxmox or other open‑source hypervisors such as Cloudstack or OpenStack is a plus.
- Web application infrastructure: Hands‑on experience with high‑volume web application infrastructure, especially with cloud native and/or microservice architecture.
- Platforms & tools: Expertise in container platforms (e.g., Nomad), automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions), and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Observability tools: Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., DataDog, VictoriaMetrics).
- Hardware: Hands‑on datacenter experience is a requirement.
- Language skills: Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
Good to know
Availability: 32‑38 hours per week. Hybrid remote working. Must live in the Netherlands and be able to visit our data centers.
