Field Service & Commissioning Engineer (Electrical)

As a Service & Commissioning Engineer at Meyn, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and optimization of our poultry processing equipment at customer sites around the world. You will focus on software or electrical related tasks - or a combination of these. You will work closely with other field engineers and local operators, maintenance & quality staff from our customers to ensure smooth start-up and operation of our machines.
What will you do?
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.
- Perform mechanical, electrical or software-related fine-tuning and troubleshooting.
- Execute modifications and overhauls, including start-up after changes.
- Provide basic instructions and training to local operators and maintenance staff.
- Collaborate with site coordinators and other engineers to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Work according to Meyn’s safety and hygiene policies.
- Report working hours and expenses accurately.
What do you bring?
- A completed education in Electrical or Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
- For software role: experience with PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Good command of English (any other language is a plus).
- Willingness to travel internationally for periods of up to 4 weeks and a maximum of 3 weekends a month.
- A flexible, service-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- You live in the Netherlands.
