Commissioning Engineer

Currently, we are partnering with our client to recruit an Electrical Commissioning Engineer (m/w/d) for major a major data centre project in Eemshaven, Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage electrical commissioning activities from Level 0 through Level 5.
- Develop and maintain commissioning schedules, trackers and documentation.
- Review IFC electrical designs and identify commissioning risks, interfaces and opportunities.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, CSA, BMS, EPMS, Controls and Integration teams.
- Attend project coordination, design, integration and commissioning meetings.
- Review electrical technical submissions, RAMS, test scripts, test packs and commissioning procedures.
- Witness electrical testing, commissioning and Factory Witness Testing (FWT) as required.
- Coordinate Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and ensure electrical systems are fully integrated and operational.
- Monitor commissioning progress, identify technical issues and manage outstanding actions.
- Lead commissioning handover and turnover documentation and ensure all records are completed.
- Carry out QA/QC inspections and provide regular commissioning reports.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer on large-scale industrial, data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS and power distribution.
- Proven experience in electrical testing, commissioning and IST.
- Good understanding of European electrical standards, codes and best practices.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Previous data centre or mission-critical experience is highly desirable.
