Senior Offshore Installation Engineer
Role description
We are looking for a Deepwater Umbilical Installation Engineer to support the engineering and offshore execution of complex deepwater installation projects. In this role, you will act as a technical specialist for multi-tube umbilicals, installation methodologies, and offshore execution activities.
You will be responsible for installation analyses, OrcaFlex modelling, procedure development, and offshore support during mobilisation and installation campaigns.
What you’ll do
- Prepare installation calculations, analyses, and procedures for load-out, trans-spooling, and deepwater installation activities
- Perform and review OrcaFlex modelling and translate results into practical offshore installation methods
- Support installation equipment processes, including VLS systems, carousels, loading towers, and routing systems
- Optimise deck layouts and contribute to offshore testing and execution activities
- Support offshore campaigns as Field Engineer or Construction Supervisor when required
- Interface with project teams and clients as a technical SME for umbilical installation activities
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in deepwater installation engineering for umbilicals
- Strong expertise with Vertical Lay Systems (VLS) and OrcaFlex
- Offshore installation experience within subsea or deepwater environments
- Strong understanding of installation procedures, equipment, and offshore operations
- Practical and solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel internationally and work offshore when required
